The salame nostrano is a cured sausage filled with a mixture of ground meat, fat and spices.
Typical of the Venetian area, it differs from similar sausages due to the coarse grinding of the pork meat.
The word “salame” originates from the salting operation performed to ensure its conservation. The ground meat and fat are mixed with salt and a variety of spices (among which: garlic, black or white pepper, minced or in grains, fennel, mace).
RECIPE TO TASTE THIS PRODUCT
Slice salame nostrano into thick slices and serve with breadsticks, fresh bread or hardtack.
